Auction Center (auctioncenter.info) is an independent search index for U.S. salvage and insurance auction vehicles. This page explains what information we collect from visitors, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Auction Center does not require an account to search or browse listings, and we do not collect your name, phone number, or postal address — we have no form or account flow that would ask for them. The sections below describe what we actually collect: automatically-logged request data and the cookies described in full in our Cookie Policy.
Like most websites, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit — commonly called Log Data. This may include your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, time spent on those pages, and similar statistics. We use this data to operate the service, diagnose problems, and understand aggregate usage patterns — not to identify individual visitors.
We use a small number of cookies — one to remember your chosen display language, one to remember your cookie-consent choice, and (only if you accept analytics) Google Analytics 4 cookies. Full details, including retention periods, are in our Cookie Policy.
We use the information above to provide and improve the service: keeping the vehicle index searchable and fast, understanding which pages and searches are useful, and fixing problems. We do not sell visitor data, and we do not use it for purposes beyond those described on this page and in our Cookie Policy.

Vehicle listing data, photos, and specifications shown on Auction Center are sourced from IAAI and Copart, the two largest U.S. auto auction networks. Auction Center is not affiliated with IAAI, Copart, or any auction house — we aggregate public listings for research purposes, and bidding itself happens through a licensed broker on the auction platform directly. Clicking through to an auction house’s own site is subject to that site’s privacy policy, not this one.
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how the site is used, governed by Google Consent Mode v2 — analytics and advertising cookies are off by default and only activate if you opt in. See our Cookie Policy for exactly what this means and how to change your choice.
Google Analytics is operated by Google, and data collected through it can be processed on servers in the United States and in other countries outside the European Economic Area. Google states that it relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and, for transfers to the United States, on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Google LLC is certified; Google’s own documentation describes those safeguards in detail. We do not make transfers of our own beyond the ones Google performs.
This applies before you make a consent choice as well as after it: the cookieless signal described above already reaches Google and is covered by the same safeguards. Accepting Analytics or Advertising adds the cookie-based data on top of it.
Where the GDPR applies to you, you have the rights below over information about you. Exercising them is free, and it never costs you access to the site.
Because we operate no accounts and hold no name, phone number, or postal address for you, an access or erasure request here is about cookies and analytics data rather than a profile. We may need enough detail — for example the approximate dates and pages of your visits — to find anything at all, and if we cannot identify any data as yours, we will tell you that rather than guess.

We take reasonable, commercially standard measures to protect the information we do collect. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our service is not directed at anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can act on it.
